Park Benchers
The Park Benchers is the ‘tongue in cheek’ name for a lively, welcoming cultural and social group for active Bpark Shul members of a certain age’! Do come and join us!
We plan a varied programme of interesting and enjoyable events once a month. These range from stimulating ‘conversations with’ talented members of the amazing Bpark community to private visits to museums and art galleries to social events.
Some examples of past events include:
- Desert Island Discs with Rabbi Baruch Levin
- a musical conversation with Graham Gouldman of 10cc
- Chanukah quiz and lunch (a regular feature)
- Private tour of Courtauld Gallery and Frank Auerbach exhibition
- Private tour of Ben Uri Gallery
- summer garden party and afternoon tea (an annual fixture)
Upcoming events include:
- Monday 18th May, 15:15. Secret Judaism and the Spanish Inquisition- Professor Michael Alpert
- Thursday 18th June, 20:00. The joys and challenges of writing our history: Dr Agnes Grunwald-Spier MBE and Hester Abrams in conversation
- Sunday 5th July. 15:00. Summer Tea Party in private garden
