Park Benchers

The Park Benchers is the ‘tongue in cheek’ name for a lively, welcoming cultural and social group for active Bpark Shul members of a certain age’!   Do come and join us!

We plan a varied programme of interesting and enjoyable events once a month.  These range from stimulating ‘conversations with’ talented members of the amazing Bpark community to private visits to museums and art galleries to social events.

Some examples of past events include:

  • a musical conversation with Graham Gouldman of 10cc
  • Chanukah quiz and lunch (a regular feature)
  • Private tour of Courtauld Gallery and Frank Auerbach exhibition
  • Private tour of Ben Uri Gallery
  • summer garden party and afternoon tea (an annual fixture)

Upcoming events include:

  • Monday 18th May, 15:15.  Secret Judaism and the Spanish Inquisition- Professor Michael Alpert
  • Thursday 18th June, 20:00. The joys and challenges of writing our history:  Dr Agnes Grunwald-Spier MBE and Hester Abrams in conversation
  • Sunday 5th July. 15:00. Summer Tea Party in private garden

The Park Benchers is organised by a steering group who are always interested to hear new ideas for future events.  Any questions or ideas- please contact Leanne.
