Known to our members as Bpark, we are a vibrant and inclusive Modern Orthodox community, located in Willesden Green and attracting members living in Queens Park, Kensal Rise, Kilburn, West Hampstead and beyond. Our synagogue is a place where tradition meets contemporary life, creating a warm and non-judgemental environment which welcomes visitors.

At Bpark, we are dedicated to nurturing spiritual growth, lifelong learning, and a strong sense of communal connection. Our diverse and cosmopolitan congregation includes individuals and families from various backgrounds, united by a shared commitment to Jewish values.  The sense of community and vitality  is evident, not only through our engaging religious services but in our range of programmes and activities covering every demographic of the community from  children and youth including nursery and Hebrew school or “cheder”, the Young Jewish Professional network, family events and our Park Benchers group for our more senior members.  In addition, volunteering opportunities covering security, welfare, social action, meal rotas and children’s services create scope for everyone to get involved and make a difference.

Whether you are new to the area or looking to reconnect, we invite you to experience our community for yourself. At Bpark, everybody counts.

Our History

Brondesbury Park Synagogue has a rich history, reflecting the resilience and spirit of our community.  Established in the early 20th century, as Heathfield Park Synagogue, our synagogue was one of several large orthodox synagogues that were created to serve the Jewish people living in the area.

Willesden Green was a vibrant hub for Jewish life. An influx of Jewish families (mainly from the East End of London) meant that the area was able to support a Jewish primary school, kosher shops and Jewish businesses, contributing to a thriving community atmosphere.

We faced demographic challenges over the years. There was a period of decline beginning in the  1970s and continuing through the 80s and 90s when many people moved to the suburbs and Jewish life in Willesden seemed uncertain.  However, the appointment of an inspired rabbinic family in 2004, coupled with the dedication and collaborative efforts of both the older generation and a new influx of younger members, sparked a remarkable renaissance of Jewish life in the area.  Heathfield Park Synagogue was rebranded as Brondesbury Park Synagogue and the community was given a new lease of life.

Today, Brondesbury Park Synagogue has a membership of over 360 households with 300 children under the age of 18 and is more vibrant than ever. In 2022 we were able to celebrate the opening of a purpose-built brand new building.  Our shul has become a hub of activity, offering a wide range of religious, educational, social and cultural activities that cater to all ages and interests.

As we look to the future, we are committed to building on our legacy, continuing our growth and never becoming complacent. We invite you to join us.
